June Activities

Our true joy and peace are found in Christ who is at the center of our hearts and lives. May He bless you today with wisdom, understanding and compassion, and may you share them with all you meet.
June 16th, Tuesday: Potluck after our Tuesday morning meeting.
June 20th, Saturday: Glen and Kim's house 1:30 to 3:30pm.
21 Thompson Creek Road, Applegate. Bring a snack. We have a short activity, then sing and always, have a time of blessed fellowship.
June 23rd, Tuesday: Balance Class before 55 -9:15am.
June 26, Friday 12:00: Lily's Memorial, Applegate church.
June 27th, Saturday we're hiking Grouse Gap which is on the access road heading up to Mount Ashland. Meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Bi-Mart parking lot in Ashland, Oregon. Bring a lunch and water. 6-mile round trip, not much elevation gain at all.
June 29th, 11am-2pm Monday: Jeff and Lisa's house 3338 Forest Avenue, Medford Oregon. Sign up for side dishes at 55 Alive. Jeff and Lisa are providing the pulled pork for the main dish. We will have an activity, and a time of fellowship. They have a pool if you want to jump in.
We start July with a hike! Cathedral Hills. It'll be a new trail about a 3-mile loop. We will find a place to eat afterwards. More details next week.
July 25th hike to Boundary Springs. 5-mile round trip. This is the headwaters of the Rogue River--an all-day event. We will probably eat at Becky's after the hike. More details on meeting place and time coming soon.
August we are not meeting as a group on Tuesdays at the church, so:
August 4th will be our picnic. Time and place will be announced later.
We also have an opportunity to sign up for the Jet boat trips out of Grants Pass for August 11th. They have a buy one ticket get one ticket 1/2 price special. We would meet there at 8:45am, back by 1:15. The jet boat trip would include lunch. Each ticket would be about $70. Let me know if you are interested and I can make reservations.
August 20th through the 23rd we're camping at Fish Lake. Please call and make your own reservations through Recreation.gov.
