55-ALIVE ACTIVITIES FOR AUGUST 2026

AUGUST ACTIVITIES – WE ARE NOT MEETING IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL BUT HAVE ACTIVITIES TO DO SO WE CAN BE TOGETHER.
Please note: “Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise”, the following is what we’ve got set up. Circumstances may change so your flexibility and understanding are appreciated! I will highlight any changes in an email if the change becomes necessary.

Greetings 55ers! We are not meeting in August at the church but are meeting in various locations throughout the month. There are handouts for these activities in the flyer rack at the church. If you didn't sign up at 55 and would like to participate please contact me 541-890-2915 or reply to this email. I appreciate having a general idea of numbers and we want to make sure we wait for folks!

August 4th Tuesday - Picnic Doc Griffin Park, 298 S. 5th St., Jacksonville.

10:00-12:15ish

I know the weather is saying 100+ for that day. Remember we are meeting at 10. Last I checked it was going to be around 74 degrees at that time with 82 or so around noon so we are good to meet and visit.

Bring a summery brunch/lunch dish, your chair and water. We will eat and sing, and as always, visit. We can pray for the people and situations we have on our hearts, too.

August 8th Saturday - Walk around Roxy Ann - about 3 miles. Meeting at El Tapatio 1250 Biddle Rd. 9:00am. We'll carpool and caravan. You can also meet us at the 3rd parking lot. (Just keep going until you come to a large parking lot to your right, with Porta-Poddies right at the entrance). We will eat lunch at El Tapatio afterwards. 11:30 is our target time. Feel free to join us for lunch if you'd rather not walk.

August 11th, Tuesday. Hellgate Jetboat Trip. Please contact me for further information.

August 18th, Tuesday. Ice Cream Social 5:00pm 1501 Minear Rd., Medford. Kareen's house. KAREEN AND GINA (her daughter) NEED HELP SETTING UP. 9:00AM. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU CAN HELP. It's washing and setting up the plastic chairs, cutting flowers for the vases, etc.

August 20-23, Thursday-Sunday - Camping at Fish Lake. Make your own reservations please. LUNCH TOGETHER, SATURDAY, AUGUST 22ND. 11:00 FISH LAKE RESORT. WE WILL ORDER OFF THE MENU OR YOU CAN BRING A LUNCH AND JOIN US. I have reservations so if you are joining us please let me know so I can contact them with any increase in numbers.

August 25th, Tuesday. BALANCE CLASS & ESSENTIAL OIL INFORMATION Chuck and Susie's clubhouse 3955 S. Stage Rd. 10:00-12:00

Bring a lunch and something to drink. We will work on our balance first, sing praises, eat lunch and then receive information on essential oils. Stay for all or part.

August 29th, Saturday. Hike Cathedral Hills 9:30 meet at Wild Rose Trailhead, lunch afterwards.
